Hi all,I posted last week about getting a new soprano d whistle, but didn't know which one to go for.I finally settled on an Overton (Goldie),but then found out that there was a 25 week waiting list!!
I thought that was the end of that, but someone of the forum sent me a pm saying they had one for sale which was only one month old. They also lived in the uk,were willing to pay p+p,and would even send it to me to try first!!Well folks,he posted it yesterday,it arrived today, and I haven't been able to put it down since I got home from work.....it's a beauty!!!
All can say is,Adrian thank you very much indeed
It's arrived!!!!!!

Glad to have been of service to you Willam!
I just wanted to post a notice to all who may be reading this thread to let them know that I only parted with the Overton to alleviate the pain of waiting for a fellow whistler.
Please do not imagine that I was dissatisfied with the whistle in any way. I will be replacing it one day soon.
I smiled to myself when i saw how quickly Bloomie appeared on this thread with his customary endorsement! He is absolutely justified in his opinion of Overtons, and I am grateful for his input in encouraging me to try one.
The high D Overtons don't get quite so much discussion on this forum as do the lows.....unsurprising, I guess. I'd like to stress that it is a truly beautiful sounding instrument....just for the record.
Best to you all,
Adrian
