cool. When I got married one of us was 36, and one was 22 also. We've made it 20 years. What are their odds?

Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...

Very cool, Em. When asked, I tell my middle school students that when I was their age, my wife was not born yet. 14 years difference is just about perfect, is it not?

Best to you...

Question: How could anything about Miss (now Ms.) Mira Sorvino be off-topic on THIS board?

Dunno Byll...I'm afraid he still has the same 3 Stooges mentality he had when I was born...I think I've long since passed him maturationally.

Whatever the age difference, the important thing is someone who lets you change and grow, and whom you can adapt to in reasonable synchronicity. We seem to have managed that.

I'm glad to see Mira has finally healed from our breakup. I was worried that she'd overcompensate by going after a younger man....wait..never mind. :D

Actually there are 12 years between my wife and myself, too. She keeps hoping I'll grow up some day. Yeah, that'll happen. :D

Ok, let's run the math.

Let M = Mira
Let M(age)=Mira's age in years
Let H = Mira's Husband
Let H(age)=Mira's husband's age
Let D=Dale
Let D(age)=Dale's age

Please try to keep up.

M(age)=36
H(age)=22
D(age)=48

M(age)-H(age)=M-H(age)
36-22=14

M(age)-D(age)=M-D(age)
36-48= -12

Therefore, had Mira married Dale(me), she would have married a man closer to her own age. This would have reduced the "scandal factor" (sf).

Not that I WOULD have married or anything. Mrs. Undisputed, as we approach our 25th anniversary of happy marital union, would have rightfully objected. And sued.

Well, here's the cool thing. When the old dude joins AARP, the youngster automatically gets a spouse's membership. Unfortunately(?) as my hubby has failed to look his age thus far, it's somewhat laughable if either one of us tries to pull off the Sr. discount.
