Patrons
The costs involved in doing Chiff & Fipple are increasing and I'm thinking of asking for people to consider being "patrons." Patrons would agree to donate a small amount of money every month or once a year. My idea it to keep it low because a large number of small donors is better than a few large donors. (I'm a Democrat).
Like $1/month. Something most people wouldn't miss.
I'd add patrons names on the website and at the end of every newsletter.
What do we think?
I'd appreciate your candid thoughts.

Being a Fascist I think we should find the weakest guy and beat the hell out of him til he pays. But on second thought I think your idea may have more merit. How about a quarterly/yearly pledge drive? Maybe we could get Jerry Lewis or Jerry Freeman or maybe Tom and Jerry. Seriously, this should not be a financial burden on one person when we all participate and benefit. I like the voluntary idea.

Can't resist this one. (All in good fun, please no one get mad!)DaleWisely wrote: My idea it to keep it low because a large number of small donors is better than a few large donors. (I'm a Democrat)
In keeping with the tradition of the Democratic party, how about a tax on all whistles sold through the board?
To end my digression, I would certainly support Chiff & Fipple. This site is, simply put, wonderful.

I'm in.
Just on the practical side, though, and speaking from just my own point of view:

Just on the practical side, though, and speaking from just my own point of view:
- 1) I would find it much easier to make one annual donation, or one donation every six months, than to fiddle around with PayPal or whatever 12 times a year.
2) I will not remember to do it, probably, unless reminded.
