And to you all as well!

I wonder how many elbows will be working tonight! And I don't mean with the Guinness, although I may enjoy some myself!

It's all over now including the shouting.

I had a cold and stayed home in my back room studio and edited some video for the fun of it. I didn't have any gigs anyway, and you have to be suicidal to want to even try to enter any pub here, even a Mexican sports bar, on St. Patrick's day, from noon till closing time and beyond.

Well, it's over, and I had one whistle stolen, one whistle destroyed and my only good chanter reed busted. Typical St. Pats. Bah.

It's my left shoulder that needs more power, not my elbow! I am sore as our stuff started Monday, but we get today off.

Mar 17: First gig: Radio gig - fun, but I screwed up my pipe tune by missing the last note.

Second gig was a bummer as they didn't even furnish chairs and we were crammed in the corner and they didn't turn off the overhead background music. We aren't playing there any more.

Tomorrow, we play for a fish fry (a Catholic church), good pay, good eating, good audience as we played for them last year. I can't wait.

Always bring a folding stool just in case. They don't weigh much and it's better than leaning against a wall/crouching for a long period of time.

I had mine as usual (I can't play pipes using a chair due to the back of the chair) and I have suggested folding stools to the rest of the band, but I don't think they ever hear me..

It's all a scam.
He wasn't Irish, I think most people know that by now. He may have been English, Welsh or French.
He wasn't the first to bring christianity to Ireland. Palladius was there 2 years before him. And He's not a saint. About 10ish years ago the Pope was going through the list of saints and realised a bucket load of them were never actually canonised. Good aul' Paddy was up there with them.
And If I see another green t-shirt with crapy sayings, I'll puke. :boggle:
Sodom and Begorrah.
Bah Humbug.

But I do hope you all had a good "Patricks Day" anyway.

After having played for over twenty years in a pub on St. Paddy's day, I don't feel the urge nor the need to do so these days. I remained at home with the wife and the dog and quietly guzzled gallons of stout :D

You can see a pic of me(all liquored up and demon-eyed) playing at a bar last Sunday while other pipers marched outside in the cold for the Detroit ST. Patrick's day parade:
