Ireland Pictures

Post by Bodhran Diddley »

We just got back from Ireland and I wanted to share a few pictures of the trip. Not a drop of rain the entire time we were there. We stayed in a cottage in Borrisokane and visited a number of places in the southwest. I picked up a couple of cheap whistles at a place called McQuaids in Nenagh. Went by Custy's but they were closed on Sunday. We had a really great time and can't wait to go back. A perfect trip!

Ah, memories... Great pictures buds. Although Ireland is one of those places where taking bad pictures is pretty tough, last time I was there I ended up developing $300.

The Cliffs of Moher are SO photogenic. I had one of my pics blown up into a 22x28 poster, and it's absolutely breathtaking. Yours really bring it all back.

Wow, those are great pictures. I'm envious. I was struck by how flat it is - then reminded myself that everyone does not live in the mountains and Ireland IS an island....

Maybe someday I can make the journey...............

I wanna goooooo!

Actually, we're planning a trip for a year after this. We're also thinking about renting a place...how did that work for you? We figured that, being as how we're vegetarians, we wouldn't want to have to rely entirely on restaurants for meals, so a self-catering house or apartment would make sense for us.

Great pics... and anyone who would go out of their way to visit Shane MacGowan's old house during their vacation in Ireland is cool in my book! ;)

Gary Humphrey
