A mandolinist friend wrote a nice, traditional-sounding number called "Farewell to the Liquor Barn", after both of the local Liquor Barns shut down. Many people felt that it was a great tragedy, but the tune is rather cheerful.
I should see if I can get the music from her.
In the days before Alison Kraus, Union Station recorded "How Can I Miss You If You Won't Go Away".

The damp kitty.
It's 200+ years old, though; wouldn't play it if it weren't a great tune-Originally though it was called "O'Farrell's Welcome to Limerick".

Listening to A Prairie Home Companion rerun from this weekend as I'm working.
K.C. Jones is singing, "I Miss My Man (but my aim's getting better)"
"If I'd a shot 'im when we first met, I'd be outta jail by now ... ."
Best wishes,
Jerry
