It's either a Cornish Rex or a Devon Rex breed cat and they all look like that, sort of "sphinx" like only not quite as nekkid. A genetic mutation gives them that short wavy fur.
The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don't alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering.

They gotta stop screwing around with the genes of these critters! I've just got a scroungy old cat named Bob here that earns his keep by catching mice that keep trying to ge into the house.
Seriously, I think it's amazing what breeding has done to the basic shape of the cat (and dogs for that matter). Some of the cat breeds (Maine Coon Cat for example) are a long way from their origins.

We actually own the book with the painted cats. It's called "Why Paint Cats" and has all kinds of cool pictures in it (if I had a scanner I'd show you my favorites). The coloring is largely vegetable dye and fades in a couple weeks.
And no, the cats aren't harmed in the process. The dye is non toxic, and the cats get tons of love and affection while they are being painted so they will stay still.

Inspiration may be a form of superconsciousness, or perhaps of subconsciousness - I wouldn't know. But I am sure it is the antithesis of self- consciousness.
