Be all that as it may. On this board full of characters Cranberry stands out. He's one of the few people that most of us will immediately notice when missing. Last time, as I recall, we had some warnings and clues, then later more detail than many cared to hear. This time nothing that I noticed. I've never met Cran, but I'm seriously concerned about his well being.
He's on my (prayer) list. So OK, He's on several of my lists.

I think it's innapropriate, but it has happened before, with the same person. I came to understand that the group here feels responsible for Cranberry, and Cranberry has reciprocated by telling the group many of his problems in great detail. I think caring for one another is a good thing, and one you don't see much these days.
Anyway, maybe the best would be for someone to contact him by phone or mail and make sure he's ok, instead of letting this thread grow fat with speculation.

I thought I remembered reading that Cranberry was leaving for somewhere. Maybe this thread will jog someone's memory.

Glauber and Celtoid,
Excellent posts both!
I think Galuber's point about not filling the thread with speculation and extremely personal detail about Cran are right on the money as is his advice to try to contact cranberry by more private means (he does have a PM account).
Celtoid's comment is also great. I think it's fine to miss someone in the whistle family and to have a thread sayng how much we miss him, what a fine fellow he is etc... but I don't think it will help him (or the board) to explore, and wring our collective hands publically, about extremely personal issues.
That said:
Cranberry, your posts are missed. Hurry back.
Doc
P.S.
Incidently, I think if you are really serious about your whistle commitment you should change your handle to "Crannberry".

I'm flattered that I'm missed. I seriously had no idea there would even be such a thread. I've had some really unexpected, life-changing events which have left me shaken up in the last couple weeks but I don't really want to talk about it, so the computer hasn't been a priority.
I haven't moved yet and am not sure if I will be able to now.
It's all made me want to join church but I can't find one that likes me right now so I don't know.
FWIW, I don't mind being thought of or called a guy or a girl, I've been all over the map in my own mind. It honestly doesn't matter to me one way or the other.
