Im sorry people, all of these subjects for battling are far to reasonable and actual intellectual (as far as this board goes) subjects

Someones going to think of something more ridiculous then these

Speaking of avatars . . . has anyone listened to Techno-pop music while reading Bloomfield's posts? Those cloud seem to be in perfect sync with my Tori Amos remix of "Professional Widow." Extreamly freaky. It's like watching a music video where nothing's going on . . .just funky clouds wizzing by.
I haven't tried it yet, but I bet I could drink two or three Baily's with coffee, get mildly buzzed and just stare at those clouds until I fall off my chair.
Sounds like a fun way to spend the evening.

Heres another idea: rumble to force Martin and Bloo to switch to normal, non-scary avators that wont cause mamakash to get buzzed or small children to have nightmares

Personally I would like to have some definitive answer on whether to learn Irish tunes by ear, or from sheetmusic.
It's a bit hard to do it by ear and since I'm used to playing from sheetmusic on my Baroque recorder I use all the MelBay books I can get my hands on. The little curly things above the notes also remind me where to use vibrato and it ensures I play the songs the same every time; upholding the tradition for generations to come.

If you think Martin's avatar is scary, you obviously haven't seen Martin. Talk about successful plastic surgery! Made his surgeon famous overnight, in fact (and rich).

That's interesting about Tori Amos. Actually my avatar is designed to be watched while listening to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. And, no, Baily's & coffee wasn't what I had in mind either.
