Seamus Tansey's style

Post by tradlad123 »

Hello all.
These days I'm listening to Seamus Tansey, and realized his style is very "bursty," and I like it. Hence, looking for similar player suggestions.
Also, on another note, his tone also feels very "sweet." Is that the flute?

Also, I may be completely off the mark with these claims. if so would love to hear more.

Thanks!

He's on the form there, thanks for that. I am not usually his biggest fan but I enjoyed that.

Tell us something.: Paddy Maloney rules! Ok, seriously though, I love the Chieftains. I'm here for whistle and flute discussions. Looking at the classifieds as well.

That bursty sound is very Sligo. I think he plays a Rudall model so its a little more lighter/sweeter. Check out these two players you will surely like.

1. Paul McGlinchy
2. Liam Kelly (dervish fame).
