Thoughts Upon His First Chiffiversary

Post by Walden »

Thanks for all the memories,
What were they? I forget.
But unlike ole Ralph Emery,*
Y'all haven't banned me, yet!

I thank ye for the times of cheer,
Let's lay the rest aside.
Dale, thanks for Chiff and Fipple here . . .
For taking things in stride.

*Walden has never actually been banned by Ralph Emery, or any other major Nashville celebrity.

Although I stand a mere newbie,
Your posts, Walden, I thrill to see,
Your humour, sense and mastery
Of the whistle and this forum.

On completion of this your first year,
It just remains for us to cheer:
Happy Chiffiversary, my dear -
Here's to many, many more of'um.
All we have to decide is what to do with the tune that is given us.

poor walden...

And thanks for all your music,
Some dandy tunes at that,
Especially when you're strumming for
Our square dance nights in chat. :)

Happy Chiffiversary!

After one year give yourself a treat
Light the candles, let the ladies in,
To celebrate try something neat
Like stepping on a terapin.

Thanks for interesting input, especially on religious things, where your comments breathe life into topics that can get pretty dry. Combined with overwhelming knoweldge of tv stuff, it makes for pleasant Forum talk and evening chatski. You are also a facilitator of divergent opinions and have applied salve to occassional Internet inflammations. :)

But I still don't understand why you started a LEVIATHAN SWEETIE PIE THREAD ON GAELIC CROSSINGS, YOU IMITATING TWO-TIMER!

Tell us something.: From the land beyond beyond. From the time past hope and fear. I bid you, Genie, now appear! Well, the Genie did not appear but the notification to type at least 100 characters did so I am back and typing some more as you, if anyone actually sees this, can probably tell.

Aw, come on Bloomie. We University of Marlyand grads might have to take umbrage with your remark

Edited to add- assuming that you are talking about the turtle, and not something else.

All the Best, Tom
