flute video...250,000+ hits

Post by Akiba »

If you want to make a flute video and get over 200,000 hits, here's what you need to do:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5N2VPGWGZ4

I might try dressing in Renaissance garb and frolicking through the forest, fluting here, fluting there, modulating to a different key at the end--might actually make a living playing this tube-like thingy.

Or, I could play like this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtSjM3YU7Qw and get 300,000+ views. This is by far the most popular solo Irish flute vid I found. For good reason, but most others are lucky to be out of the 1000+.

I guess I can do it. I'd have to play in drag, though, and wear a wig.

Alternatively, if your flute is big enough you can get over 1,000,000 views:

We must not forget this one. Unfortunately no beauty can be found musically or aesthetically. 544,000 painful views and counting.

Tell us something.: Hi Nano. I was somewhat active on the Chiffboards maybe 5 or 6 years ago, participating in several whistle tours (Bracker, Hardy, Ellis). I took a break from the Chiffboards, and music mostly, for several years because I got a full-time job and had a baby. I'm easing back into the music, though (which is great, I missed it). It's good to be back!

I don't understand this stuff .

No flames are involved in this one and he still has over 1,000,000 views. Irish too.

as opposed to this wanna "bee" with even more hits.

Uuuuhhhh, I don't think hits equate to making $$$ playing flute.

At least with both of these there is some talent and skill, but 1,000,000+ is baffling.

That Seamus Eagan video is great. Glad to see it again.

Second video is disqualified--not solo flute. Good numbers though.

Next!

The video of Seamus Egan was from the Mad for Trad series of tutorials. My sense of it was that someone posted the videos on YouTube and sales of the tutorials fell through the floor. I doubt Mad for Trad sold 400,000 copies of the Seamus Egan tutorial disc. You Tube has its value but not always positive I suppose.
