Hello all,
I acquired 26 chanter reeds and 10 drone reeds including chanter keys, stocks and etc. I believe they were owned by Joseph E Smith, a pipe/reed maker from Florida USA. I saw pictures of his reeds and these are EXACTLY the same. I wonder if he passed away and this collection was his?

Joe is still around, but, to my knowledge, no longer piping or making reeds.

I think Cathy means that Joseph was a good friend to many here, and your acquisition means that he's probably no longer piping.
As far as we know, Joseph is alive and well in St. Louis:

I am sad to know that he was welcomed here on this forum and by the looks of it, may have stopped piping :/ ... at any rate, hope these supplies go to someone that can let the music play on!
