Today, I heard about an Internet startup that sells glasses. They have the usual hipster Web2.0 kind of stuff you'd expect: upload your photo and virtually "try on" glasses; have samples shipped to you to try on; Buy a pair, give a pair; etc.
It all seemed only mildly interesting until I found out they offer prescription monocles:
