The more I play my Bb flute, the more I like it! (Thanks Tomo!)
Sorry, this has a fair bit of effects.

Hello Arbo. Good playing! Your playing really makes me want a Bb flute! If only my wife permitted me to buy one...

Still working up this tune... but here's the latest one-off. Played on a blackwood Bb Burns.

Thought I might chip in here as well. I've relatively just started playing the flute (about six months or so), and I figured that I might as well throw this up here in hopes of getting some pointers on what to work on.

I've been shooting my mouth off in the Flute Forum for a few months. It's time I shut up and play some music. Bring on the slings and arrows...

So I am playing this through my audio system and my son looks up and says, "Is that you?" What can I say? It does have some of the same elements. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it!

I'm flattered by the comparison. Lately, I've realized that I've spent too much time on ornamentation, and that I need to concentrate on really understanding the feel of a tune, and working on phrasing. I'm still not there, but this is a start.

Tom,
I think it is the phrasing that might be similar. Love the fluid nature of your playing, and the tine. keep posting!

I just installed Garageband this evening and I've been fooling around with it. This was recorded with a USB powered condenser mic and played on a Martin Doyle blackwood.

Hi!

I have been listening to Jean-Michel Veillon lately. Previously I have never used tonguing on the flute as an ornamentation, but I now realize it is a useful technique.
This is a short clip of me playing Jean-Michel Veillon's "Dans Fisel" on an Eb Lehart. I learned it from his album "Beo", but it can also be found on Wooden Flute Obsession .

It would be nice to get some feedback on my tonguing technique, to see if I am on the right track or not.

I think the tonguing sounds good
You may want to take away those rolls though, and use the C key to tremble that B.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you play Breton music, or do you stick to ITM?

I stick with ITM, and play a couple of breton tunes (and songs, with a group). I went to a workshop with Jean Michel in Ennis though, and he didn't use one roll.
