Valentine's Day Plans

Post by mutepointe »

What do you plan on doing? One thing we'll be doing is playing Date Night Roulette. Without looking, we pull out one of our many gift cards and that's where we go to dinner. We like not having to make decisions. Then on the 15th, I'll be buying 1/2 price chocolates. She'd kill me if I paid full price.

We've got tickets to see Cherish the Ladies tomorrow night. Should be fun.

We do not allow the world of commerce to fleece us of some of our hard earned dosh with the excuse of showing our feelings to each other on this one particular day of the year.

Lar de dar, get her!!!

Having said that.....It is my birthday on Sunday and if he doesn't make me a cup of tea and bring it up to bed for me tomorrow I will whine at him all year !!!

Cherish the Ladies tickets sound good though :)

Second Monday of the month is singaround day at The Rising Sun. The deal is that I stand up and make a fool of myself, and husband buys the beer. I intend to honour Valentine's day with a 1960s Cat Stevens number, "I love my dog".

My daughter insists that the lyrics say "... as much as I love you" but I always get it wrong and sing "... much more than I love you".

Fortunately it's my birthday so I get double the cards. I try to toss them shortly after a decent interval only to find the wife has squirreled them away in a box somewheres.

:D :D I'm with you there actually. Neither Mrs Hotblack nor I feel the need to do something special on any one specified day.

And we're certainly too tight to pay for an overpriced meal in a restaurant that evening that's just the same as the evening before and the evening after with just a red rose thrown if for good measure.

Cynical?? Moi??? :D :D
Cheers

For Valentine's Day, nothing out of the ordinary....go to school, come home, make dinner, try to keep the Izzlets from killing each other, saying no to the Wii, etc. Normal stuff.
Also, Mr Izz is away, so that makes it hard. Maybe he'll send me roses. But then, probably not ;)
But TODAY, I'm going out to dinner with my eldest daughter, who will be, at 7:11pm EST, 21 years of age.

My wife goes to night class. She will be home late. I plan on painting a butterfly and leaving it somewhere she will see it.

I'll be walking around with my teeth bared and a baleful look that dares anyone to say "Happy Valentine's Day" to me.

I'm planning to take my wife out to the local pub, where the so-called steak sandwich is actually a full-course steak dinner (those gay guys sure know how to cook). She will have a gin and tonic x 2, and I will stick with water since I am driving. The atmosphere of the place is fun, so I hope we have a good Valentine's Day together.
