Typically clumsy of you, Mr. Hall.......

Mate, you're 100% correct. Only a moderator can order you to leave.
Therefore , if someone else tells you to leave it is NOT an ORDER, see?

If thats how you felt about it, it shows great maturity on your part that you ended up

And so the dead horse floggings continue...

Look, Tal, you of all people here should understand what it's like to be shouted down. I've watched you getting hammered on, time and time again.

Have all of your responses been "mature"? I seem to recall the occasional spew. Besides, maturity is seriously over-rated, and I recommend it in small doses only.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

I've always liked the Hunter S. Thompson quote:

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

Yay,thats a good one as well Kirk B ....Seems as though a few of us Chiffers ride Motorcycles  ..
Sadly ,for me anyway, it's too bloody hot to ride here in OZ at the moment :( .. For the last week, the temperature has been in the 38 to 44 deg. C. region and 99% humidity .... NOT FUN :P .....
I dunno what's going on in our country lately.... Floods and Cyclones in Queensland ( North East Oz ),a heatwave here on the Mid North East Coast, floods in Victoria (South East Oz ) and Bushfires in Perth (West Coast Oz ) ...Mother Nature's a wee bit cranky !! ..
And .....on the subject of 'sayings' ,another one I like is....
"You're only young once, but you can stay immature forever" ... ..
And...and.....I'm not 'leaving' ......I like it here !

I don't ever recall being hammered on for making endless glib unfunny condescensions to people thoughtfully taking part in a topic whilst myself being the monkey for the person who began the topic but, in fact, doing serious damage to the topic OP position by the manner of my monkeying.

As to your Q, I like to measure my responses by the yardstick of "freshness".

I would like to see this thread get back on topic not because I want to snark about moderator decisions but because I like to to spin wheelies and rev about the elements in a topic that contributed to those decisions, namely, the input and behaviour of non-mod members in the topic.

IMO, anything less does not dignify Terry's sad decision to leave these forums.

One does not "spin" a wheelie. Wheelies are "pulled". :)
