WTB Keyless McGee 5088 or McGee Rudall Refined

Always worth a try… I’m seeking a keyless McGee 5088 or Keyless Rudall Refined from the CONUS side of the pond, if anyone is favorable to letting one go for a reasonable price.

I’d prefer the improved elliptical or two semicircles embouchure, if possible. Minimum Disruption Tenon is just fine. Send me a PM if you have something you’d be willing to part with.

Next step: I’ll reach out to Terry himself, if I don’t find anything here close by…

I’m also looking at the Jay Ham in the Irish flute Store as it is a “medium” holed Rudall pattern, but, I’m not familiar with his work and haven’t found any reviews. Let me know if you have experience with Mr. Ham’s work.

Thank you all!

I don’t have any direct experience with Jay Ham’s work, but I have a friend who owns one of his flutes and raves about it. In fact, his flute is the Mopane & Brass keyed flute featured on Jay Ham’s site. (this one: https://woodenflutesdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2019/01/img_6664.jpg). There is a clip of his flute being played here: https://woodenflutes.com/audio/. It is the last clip played by Colin Shoemaker. When I asked him about it he said it was right up there with Olwell in craftsmanship/quality in his opinion.

Planxtypipes, thank you for sharing–that’s good to hear. Photos of his flutes show amazing work. Blayne Chastain’s recording with the flute is fantastic. This is a very interesting option for a Rudall based medium holed flute.
