Willie

Hi guys it’s in full swing and all sortsd of silly things going on. Pat D’Arcy maned t oget me to play his set, probably only to get a pic of myself playing it to embarrass the shite out of me by putting it on the website. Have a handle on Liam now. Ha. All noise.
Will be doing the lunchtime today in the most piping unfriendly weather on offer so god help us. One hour to go for that.

Madness all but fun.

I keep telling myself --" next year, next year…" Have a blast, Peter et al!!

Now that wouldn’t be his ROGGE set by any chance??
Tell Patrick…if there’s an auction for the photos, I’ll put in a bid

Good luck with the recital.

…oh, and if you develop a rash on your arms and hands, you’ll know what you’re allergic to

Heaven forfend that Peter be caught playing a concert set; I’m sure it’s Patrick’s Woof set in B. (BTW, D’Arcy’s plays a Lambe concert set with a Rogge chanter).

Piping unfriendly weather? I suppose that means it is clear. Here’s hoping it rains before Saturday!!! On the other hand, clime may be similar to my own and they may do just fine when I get 'em there.

Piping unfriendly weather during the WIllie week means warm seamist with 96 percent humidity.

No guys it wa the preshaw chanter on a Lambe body, Rogge top though.

Shanachie could be pressing the CD even as we type… :astonished:

Boyd

[nice to see you back on the board, by the way]

Or Green Linnet

In my best Clare accent… YO YO YO!

Yep… it was a mighty week! I convinced Peter to play a D set! HAHA! He sounded good on it though and it was nice to hear my set from the listeners point of view. It was my Lambe set with the Preshaw chanter and Rogge top… so the prize goes to Peter  I didn’t bring my B set to my shagrin… I thought I wouldn’t have an opportunity to play it but as these things usually turn out I had almost more opportunities to play in B than D! The tastiest six hours of the week were spent in Conway’s out in Mullagh playing with Bill Haneman, Emmet Gil, Harry Bradley, Liz Kane, Jesse Smith, Kevin Glackin, Jimmy O’Brien-Moran and James Kelly (that’s clockwise from where I was sitting ) Thanks to Bill and Harry for lending me their sets… that was very generous of you.

Lot’s of tunes and lot’s of fun… the Late Session this week has a bit of a review of the week at http://wwa.rte.ie/rams/radio/thelatesession.ram Mick O’Brien and Caobhín O Raghallaigh playing a selection from their new CD… really lovely stuff!! Mick was my teacher this year and he was patient and inspiring as always! Another couple of CD’s I picked up are Neillidh Mulligan’s new one and The Tap Room Trio (Harry Bradley, Jesse Smith and John Blake) .. I highly recommend all of them!

I was travelling with Michael Eskin from San Diego. There are some photos he took from the week linked from my site http://www.concentric.net/~pdarcy/page1/page1.shtml

More as my brain returns to it’s spritely self…

Patrick.

Peter this deserves some sort of explanation would you care to elucidate!!!
