The Generation Bb is a good whistle. It is very inexpensive and has a nice tone - and is usually in tune.

I just picked up a Sindt B-flat, it is wonderful…
I dearly love my Silkstone PVC Bb.
While I know there are good Generation Bb whistles out there, every one I have got my hands on so far has been completely unplayable.
The Silkstone requires some degree of breath control because it requires so little air… it’s very easy to jump into the second octave with it.
Mack Hoover made a Bb for me a short while back and it’s become one of my favorites. He made it with large holes, and it has a lovely sound. Might be worth talking to him about…
I have a Copeland Bb, which is a
wonderful thing. (It’s also expensive.)
The Water Weasel Bb is also good.
I have a Generation Bb that sounds rather icky, and none others. Some people have very good ones. I’d suggest you go to a store that lets you try before you buy…
I got a Water Weasel Bb from another listmember several months ago. I was initially underwhelmed, but this whistle is wonderful. It’s very mellow and chiffy. It takes about the same amount of breath at the Generation, but more pressure.
I had loved the Gen until a few weeks after I got the WW. If you can try one out to make sure you don’t get a lemon, the Gen Bb is really a pretty good whistle.

Generation and Water Weasel are both nice Bb whistles, but they are opposite ends of the spectrum. Generations have the sound you’d expect from a “real” whistle, ie. metallic and tinny - but nice. Easy to play.
The WW Bb on the other hand is deep - yes, I know the pitch isn’t lower than on any other Bb, but the tone makes it sound low-whistlish and (dare I say it) haunting. Something to do with the high wall thickness of the Bb as opposed to most of Glenn’s other models, I guess. When I first tried it, I could have sworn I was playing a “real” low whistle. The second octave requires you to lean into it a bit.
Cheers,
Jens
The Overton Bb is excellent. I’ve just however ordered a Sindt Bb as I have two Overtons and fancied a change (I like your comments Eskin!)
My Water Weasel Bb is one of my favorite whistles. It’s just pure fun to play.
Even better is getting a friend with another WW Bb and playing duets. They’re the perfect “high” whistle for duets.
Jens, you puy your finger on it. I think the “low whistle sound” is both what I disliked about the WW when I first got it and what I like about it now. Plus, I swear it would be useful in self-defense.
The Generation sounds kind of thin next to it, but does have a more traditional tinwhistle sound.

Tony Dixon’s Bb has lovely, rich, tuneful sound.
(I have some in stock - but that’s not relevant!)

Hehe. Steve, you wouldn’t be pulling a Phil on us, would you now?
