Whistle Identity?

This morning I was watching the weekly live “Music and the Spoken Word” broadcast on YouTube (The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square) and about 11 minutes in, there’s a beautiful rendition of the song “Homeward Bound” with a gorgeous whistle solo. Does anyone know what type of whistle this is? It had such a lovely tone.

Here’s a link to the recording…it starts about 11 minutes in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A79eNLXcsWQ

There’s a good shot of the whistle as the song is ending, around 14 minutes or so. I can’t figure out how to attach a screenshot.

It would be great to know what type/maker of whistle this is…it’s so beautiful. Thank you for any help.

Here’s a screenshot . . .

ps: I don’t know why the usual [img] embed wouldn’t work

To post ot on the forum save as a jpeg and embed. The forum doesn’t allow png with img tags.

[I see you have now changed from img tags to link. ]

Mr. Gumby,

Thank you for explaining about the need for .jpg  .

Could this be a Pat O’Riordan whistle with a wireless microphone attached? My O’Riordan looks similar but with silver instead of brass fittings. Some of our session players use wood O’Riordan’s with brass. Pat lived just north of us and displayed his whistles at the annual Johnny Appleseed Festival every fall.

In my online searches, it seemed like pictures of O’Riordans come the closest…thank you! I’ve never seen one in person.
