What does “rubber room fodder” mean. Is it meant to be offensive?
The PROCT forum is referred to as the “rubber room.” So “rubber room fodder” is something that belongs in PROCT.

It could be a complement. I gave up the rubber room for Lent. It’s been a peaceful Lent.
OK I’ve tried to look it up but what does PROCT stand for as well?
Politics, Religion, and Other Controversial Topics. PROCT is short for PROCTology, referencing the PROCTology forum here on Chiff and Fipple. PROCT is a scary, scary place, filled with angry men and women who only rarely agree with one another.

Some topics start out as simple Pub talk and then can get heated and get moved to the PROCT forum. It’s pretty much the same people in both forums but the levels of engagement are different.
I’m not the person to provide an In-service on the PROCT but I do highly recommend the experience if you are an adult and can hold your own in a heated debate. The PROCT isn’t perfect but it’s one of the best on the internet.

Your avatar doesn’t say which country you are in. In the old days, psychiatric hospitals used to have padded “rubber rooms” so the self-injurious patients wouldn’t harm themselves when they banged their heads against the walls in fruitless pursuits, like arguing in the PROCT forum.
And just in case you missed it, PROCT is an acronym, PROCTOLOGY is the study of A-holes. Get it? Isn’t that funny?

The PROCT forum has it good uses too. If you ever want to know an array of opinions on a controversial topic, ask a question there. Journalists have been really sloppy over the last couple of decades and only like to present the pro and con position and treat them as equally valid, the PROCT forum includes an array of positions. It’s also amazing what people from different countries and areas hear as the dominant position. There are major differences around the world that are real eye openers in the PROCT forum.
That is funny.
I put the question in the correct forum then because I wanted some other views on the subject.

I’m sorry! I wasn’t trying to be rude with the comment. Political-ish type postings tend to be kept in the PROCTology area (the political/religious and whatever else that tends to make people mad forum). I was just saying that your post might be better in that area of the Chiff because of the type of discussion it might spawn. No big deal…I’ve been known to post things here that don’t belong in this area as well, and with a lot more in the way of drama in involved…ahem…
So, no. I honestly wasn’t trying to single you out, Pammy. And I truly am sorry if you thought I was
