Stolen Flute

Hi. Last weekend my flute was stolen from a bar in East Durham, NY. The flute was in a gun case, which was inside of a black knapsack. The knapsack was a black Dakine bag. The flute is a Terry McGee keyless blackwood. It is the Grey Larson Perfered model, but I do not know the serial number. Any info on the flute or its whereabouts would be greatly appreciated. I can be contacted through the site or at rob_handel [AT] yahoo.com. Thanks.

That is a total drag! :swear: Sorry to hear that you lost your beloved flute! If I see one come up on eBay I will let you know. They may try to off it on Craig’s List, so you might want to check that also. To bad you don’t have the serial number, if you bought it new, Terry may have the number in his books.
Good luck!

I’m sorry to hear the news. It’s like loosing a friend.

As Jon C. said, Terry McGee just might be of help, in knowing the serial numbers. If not new, then maybe a history could be constructed. It’s a small world.

Also, C&F has a Special Notices forum, for Lost/Stolen/Missing Instruments, and it could be a good idea to post the bad news there.

:frowning:

Sorry for the scare guys, but today I did get it back. I waited a week before posting anything, just to be sure that it was gone, but it figures that the day I announce it, I got the flute back. It turns out that a friend had picked it up and left it in the office of the hotel for me. He just called me today to tell me though. Thanks for the concern!

these kinda things can turn up sometimes…

are they still your friend… that has to be a true test of friendship… and they just now told you after a week! I think I’d have to wonder what they were thinking…

Well, this might be a wake up call, copy the serial number and get insurance…
