session recorder

Is this not the ultimate tune recorder? I don’t have one, but it looks like it should fit the bill.

I’m interested in this one as well, it look like it could give the Edirol R-09 some competition. I really like my R-09, but the Olympus looks like it may have somewhat better build quality and isn’t all plastic like the R-09.

I vote for the Zoom H2, has everything you’ll ever need and eats up to 4GB memory sticks. You can record over 130 hours of music with reasonable quality. Also features three microphones which can be compined for 360° surround recording. And it’s available for less than 200 euro.

I really like that gadget.

Here’s a sound sample: Lads of Laois / Nollaig Casey’s (5.2MB)

Yup the new Zoom H2 is amazing! I just got one of these and am glad I did. For $100 less it does everything the Olympus LS 10 does plus a whole lot more.

I’ve got the Zoom H4. Great recorder. Got it on ebay last summer, and it came with either a one or a two gig card, and a tripod. I got it from ebay, and the guy’s still selling them at the same price, I think. I saw one at Augusta last year, and ordered one while I was there. It arrived two days after I got home. If anybody is interested, here’s a link to the guy’s ad:

I’ve been surprised that Edirol R-09 record my flute playing better than a zoom h4… could also be a problem of settings but Edirol R-09 seems to be the top one for now
