In the 1980’s ketchup was declared a vegetable by the government for school lunch menus. Suddenly Del Monte’s Catsup, because of its spelling, was not on the approved list. Shortly afterward Del Monte changed the product’s name to Del Monte Ketchup.
My wife’s cat qualifies as a vegatable most of the time. Occasionally he tries to impersonate a living creature.
I used to have a job at a zoo. My job was to steal the eggs from all the birds everyday so they could be incubated in the incubator.
Hazardous duty to be sure. I have great respect for waterfowl and, in those days, had the black and blue keester and shins to prove it!
