practice set for sale

Hi all. I bought a really nice practice set a little while ago and, due to certain circumstances, I probably need to sell it. The set was made by William Smith. I can’t find much information about him, but the previous owner said it was recently serviced by Nick Whitmer. The chanter is fully keyed, not sure what the wood is, and comes with a spare reed. The bag and bellows are very nice. It’s a great set for a beginner as it is very easy to play. I bought it with a hard case which can be included if the buyer would like to have it as well. Please pm me if interested. Thanks.

Bump and mentioning that I can send pictures.

and again

off to ebay

Still for sale. Am willing to split the set up selling the bag, bellows, chanter, and case seperately.

And still for sale.

Erm don’t ye think there might be something wrang wi your advertising? :boggle:

Tip 1) Put a fotie up
Tip 2) Put a price on it even if it’s offers over…

That will increase your chances
Send me the usual fee which is 10% commission when you sell thanks

Sorry it took so long for me to get back here (my computer was down.) Anyway, I paid $1000 for the set and case, and while I would like to get that back I am willing to consider offers. Here are two pictures:

$1000 for a second hand (or third hand) practice set???

Double post sorry

That’s what I’d like to get but I am willing to consider offers. It’s not the first used practice set that’s been listed for that much.

Don’t worry about the price $1K US isnae that much for a practice set and ye should be able to sell.If it was a £1000 GB then it would raise eyebrows maybe but who knows. If ye get the insanity of 2.5K Euros for a chanter
as recently paid by some muppet (sorry kermit no offence) then your wee set seems a bargain by comparison.
Anyways if some folks think it is too much then they are not in the market for it ,no big deal.Someone will buy I am sure ,at the price ye want, good luck

Thanks.

To put the price in perspective, a new Gallagher practice set with 2 keys and brass top would be $2650. If this chanter plays well and the bellow / bag are solid, the price can’t be far off.

It’s a pity all the Rowsome chanters are 2nd hand.

Still for sale.

give us a bit more info and location…won’t drive across atlantic to see them but might make portlaois

Could be tough, I live in Alaska. Anyway, the set works really well, no leaks or anything, the bag and bellows are very high quality, the reed needs to be adjusted just a fraction, but other than that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. It comes with a nice, sturdy hard case as well.
