Were the colors changed in this picture? If not, how come all the other stars are red, too?

The above image combines infrared exposures from the Hale Telescope on Mt. Palomar in California, and the Keck-2 Telescope on Mauna Kea in Hawaii.

Ah, that explains everything. They’re all hippies up here on Palomar, eating their organic foods and seeing pretty colors that ain’t there.
