The Uilleann pipe community took a blow this weekend when the Uilleann pipe forum was locked out… Very sad…
Well, guess what, it’s Dale’s Forum.
To paraphrase a song: “It’s his party, and he can cry if he wants to!”
By which I mean that he has every right to do whatever the heck he wants.
Besides, from all accounts it WAS called for.
Anyway, if you don’t like it, you can always leave.
People like you are really the ones who need to leave, that would make this forum a better place for all of us… Just be nice

The one thing I found interesting about the notorious thread was that it was an interesting glimpse at Northern England dialect etc (I guess that’s what it was anyhoo). The closest thing to an all-Brit Forum in otherwise US dominated place.

That would have been enough for a serious flaming over on the UP forum.
I’ve not been here too long but have found the UP forum a great help getting my piping up off the ground after a few years out.
Is this the first “forum lockout” or has it happened before?

No, pipers are more opinionated about their instruments than about politics or religion.
