Ginsberg B reed?

Hi, has anyone reeded, or plays, a Ginsberg B chanter? I’m looking for a reed or reed dimensions, to reduce the guesswork

Not sure I can tag people on the forum, but Sam Lawrence made a great reed for my Ginsberg B chanter a couple of months ago. It’s playing very nicely and his rates are very reasonable!

Yep, Sam’s a friend, I asked him earlier on and he couldn’t remember exactly what he did with your B but I’ll tell him you’re happy with it, good to know

Prehaps Alan Burton has reeded a Ginsburg reed sometime over the years. You could contact him.

Not Ginsburg I know but Here’s Alan’s take on a Williams B chanter reed, from 2011:

Also from Alan Burton regard. Williams B and C chanters, 2009:
I have successfully reeded a handful of Daves Bs & Cs. You should be okay with the following:

Head 11mm wide (perhaps a little wider for C?), 95mm long slip. Form on 65 - 70mm diam block.
Staple 3.2 - 3.4mm ID, 52mm long. Staple>Head 20mm.

Pretty much standard really (Alan Burton).
