I’m strongly thinking about to buy a Geert Lejeune flute - I’ve even contacted the maker. But before I post an order I thought it to be clever to ask other people that what experiences might they have about his flute.
I had a Geert Lejeune Rudall model flute and was fairly impressed with it. Pretty good player, but the workmanship wasn’t the best. However, it appears that he has made quite a few changes in his flutes since then.
On his website http://users.skynet.be/geertlejeune/ he states that the toneholes are undercut on his Superior Models. This is something I would request on his Regular Models as well. The undercutting can drastically improve the response and projection of a flute.
Good to hear this. Recently I posted the order - a four-keyed Pratten modell, made of Cocuswood. The day I get it, I’ll place some photo of it on this website.
