FS: Custom tenor banjo, Bart Reiter, with internal resonator

I am finally just going to stick with mandolin and pipes, so I will be selling my tenor banjo. Custom made for me with an 18 fret neck and internal resonator by Bart Reiter. This banjo was built specifically for playing Irish traditional music with a GDAE tuning. I have put all the info and pics on my website at

At least take a look if you have never seen an internal resonator banjo before! I should have some MP3 files up soon to show its tone (and my lack of skillful playing!).

That’s really cool!!!

I’m sure it will go quick…

If it’s still around by the time I get my tax return, I’d be tempted to get it.

In January, I pulled this off the market, having had second thoughts. I have now had third and final thoughts and will really sell the banjo this time. Please see the website at

and contact me if interested. Thanks!

John - If I wasn’t sticking with mando and pipes myself, I’d jump on this. I have an original Bacon with the exact same tone ring and internal resonator (2 F holes) and I think it is a wonderful sound. Your banjo is similar, but appears to be constructed with much nicer woods, and the 18 fret neck. Nice banjo!
