FS: Burke low D aluminum

My wife said I need to thin the herd before I buy a flute. Otherwise I’d keep it. Good whistle, 200$ shipped US.

Say, looking at the pix … Is that a very early model Burke? It doesn’t have the black tip, or the characteristic tuning collar shape. And the fipple looks rough.

Do you know the year and/or model designation, for reference?

I’ve played a few early Burkes, and they’re nice whistles. But the design has definitely evolved over the years.

On the back its engraved " LowDAL Pro MB 7/2001". I purchased it on this forum about a year ago, if I remember correctly. Its nicely machined, but the secondary(?) ramp looks to be hand finished. Maybe that was done during the voicing.

Thanks, QP. That answers my questions.

I’ve lowered my asking price to 170$ + shipping cost. I’m anxious to get this sold so I can get my new flute.
Cheers, Rob
