It’s a much easier-playing low D Copeland than the first one I had, and a little sweeter, though still retaining some of that famed Copeland reediness.
Low D Copelands are $475 new.
I’d like to get $375 for mine, which is $100 off of the new price. Of course, a new one also has an indeterminate waiting period, and this one does not. for $375, you’ll get shipping and handling and insurance thrown in, which costs around $13.00 for USPS Priority I think.
I really like this whistle. In fact, since getting it, I’ve played it a ton at session, leaving my Chieftains to gather dust. Whitmores can attest.
However, a sudden expense requires that I try to come up with some dough to cover it, and it’s one of the whistles I own that I’ve paid for with good resale value. I like it enough that the $375 price is fairly firm…and still a good deal for anyone here who wants to pick it up. If it doesn’t go here in a week or two, I’ll likely Ebay it with a $375 reserve.
