Flute Photos!!! Come post your flute pictures :)

Hey folks -
There’s been a thread in the piping forum lately showing beautiful pictures of everyones pipes.
At Rob Forkner’s (Metloef Irish Drums) suggestion I am starting a new thread in which to post pictures of the flutes owned by the denizens of this forum.
Unfortunately, my brother has left and taken his superb digital camera with him, so I can’t take any good pictures of my Olwell (unkeyed blackwood), but I do have two nice pictures of Rob’s Gilles LeHart flute that he asked me to post here:

So, with no further ado, here are two smoking hot, totally exclusive pictures of the flute - sexy, black, oiled and resplendant in all it’s naked glory.

Now post your own!

Flute Porn? Ohhhhh Yeaaaaahhh…Bring it On!!!

Loren

The condition of Rob’s Lehart really does look like porn.

I assume that’s almond oil?

Stuart

JessieK, can you tell us about the center row?
Mainly from the keyed one in the center
down to the bottom one.
Thanks, eilam.

Wm A Pond 19th century keyed flute, Seery, flute made by me with help from Dave Copley, delrin Olwell Nicholson, boxwood Olwell Nicholson with no metal, blackwood Olwell Nicholson, blackwood Powell concert flute.

Jessie…your pic is sort of like a flute orgy!

(were I technologically impaired, I’d give you all a photo of The Triple Threat: Olwell D Bamboo, M&E Split Emboucher, and Olwell Blackwood keyless D…this is all I will need for this life…)

Keep the porno, er I mean photos coming…

Jeff

How am I going to do this. 10 months until my Lehart is done. Please no more pictures of Leharts. Sins of thought are now punishable in this country.

Well, I guess I’m out then. Of course, mine looks kind of funky now anyway - I’ve ripped off one of the keys and the copper rings are parti-colored now, since some parts are tarnished and others are buffed clean by my shoulder and fingers. Kinda makes the thing look like a prop from “Blade Runner”.

JH.

Maybe it would be good for me to see one that is a little funky JH. And besides Blade Runner is one of my all time favorite movies.

Tom

I’ll see what I can do. Maybe I’ll work a little papier-mache unicorn in there somewhere just to complete the effect.

JH.

This is my boxwood flute, R&R style, made by Wolf & Co., London, c. 1840, and refurbished by Patrick Olwell last fall.

Carol

Chris,

what an ugly …carpet!

Christian

David, that’s funny!

Carol, beautiful flute! How does it sound and feel?

~J

The boxwood feels great, light. The sound is also somewhat light, almost creamy, though my teacher assures me it will bark and honk with the best of them when my playing improves. I’ve been at it about 7 months.

Carol

When your playing improves?
You’re terrific now…

I prefer to see a flute in PVC;-) Baby!
A](http://larklark.tripod.com/flutel.jpg%22%3EA) link cause I can;t find a free web host that will let you put a pic up anywear other then there own page. ARG!!!

Ok, this is a monstrosity of my own creation:-) since this picture has been taken, I?ve replaced the plug with a moveable one, enlarged and shaped the embouchure hole, and so I will be decapitating it and replacing it?s head with a tuneable one?. Yes, I knew Dr. Frankenstein quite well:-)

It?s alive! ALIVEEE!!! MUWAA HAA HAAA!!!
