First Wood Flute?

^Perhaps not… but I am. The short period I had two wooden flutes, I spent more time worrying over them than playing them. I’m obsessive compulsive; and there are already too many things that I take too long to do because of it. And when it comes to thread wrapped tenons, I may as well be a cat.

I’ve been able to make myself ignore my delrin flute - except to pick it up and play it anytime there’s a lull in my workday or a spare moment in my off time. It lives on a stand, so it’s self-draining.

Nothing personal against wood. I have five lovely wooden guitars. It just isn’t practical for me, when there is a viable alternative. I am thankful most people want wooden flutes; otherwise I probably wouldn’t be able to afford a delrin one. I do love the instrument.

Well then, enjoy the delrin flute.

I agree with Casey that wood is not that fussy.
It’s, ya know, wood. I would blush to tell you
how I treat my flutes and they do fine.
