that’s where we’ll be

It’s their third concert in Grand Junction and my third time in attendance.

Needless to say Joanie Madden has had an impact on me.

Mack

When will this be? (Asks one who is very envious.)

Ha! ME TOO! The next night at the Arvada Center. (Part of greater Denver.)

Got to see the ladies last year in Boulder and was surprised at the relatively small turnout. This is a great venue with covered seats up front and cheap seats out on the lawn for those with good backs.

Honestly, the tickets are cheaper than in Grand Junction (sorry Mack) and the sound in the Arvada Center amphitheater is excellent. Fellow chiffers, you certainly should consider this if you are in the area.

I have been looking forward to this for months.

August 10.

Counting the days!

Just reminding everyone in the Front Range / Denver area that the CTL concert is only a week away.

Seriously, folks, this is a real bargain. Lawn seats only $18! Even the covered seating is only $32.

For variety, there is a good contemporary bluegrass band called Southern Exposure that’s opening for them.

Drag the family to this one. I am.

And again, not in my country. But I’m not too sad, on the 10th Flook is in Holland, and I’ll be there.

Not too bad a tradeoff! Wish I could be there for that one too.

Tonight it is and I’m excited!

Tell Joanie I said “HI!”, and see if she’s using the flute case cover… I still don’t know! LOL

annie

I’ll give your greeting and check on the flute case cover.

And now for my request…

well Annie,
I didn’t get a chance to say hi to Joanie, so your case is still open.

The ladies get better each time they show here! It was a really good one!

What a great group of musicians!

Another fine show in Arvada tonight! But way too short. The opening band was OK, but I would have preferred it be all CTL music.

Annie, I talked to Joanie afterward for just a few moments. (She was swamped for autographs plus a lot of old friends had shown up to say hello.) She did say the cover was great and that she had been meaning to write.

I didn’t see the cover on stage, of course, but that whistle roll looked beautiful even at a distance.
