Copeland Whistle Raffle & Benefit for Wendy Morrison

We have been getting a few mail entries each day and will still accept them until the end of the day tomorrow, Thursday, Oct 31st.

At 5:00pm Friday, Nov 1st, I’ll delete the option to get a raffle ticket on-line from our website.

After that, we’ll print a name on paper for each ticket purchased and cut them up into slips for the drawing at 8:00pm EST.

I’ll post the two winners on the board and on our website as well as contact them via e-mail.

Wow, you buy a whistle off someone and you think you know them. I am sorry Jessie if my signature or my beliefs offend you. Neither were intended to do so. Why have you not mentioned it before today, you have seen my posts before?

You are welcome to add any signature you would like to your posts and whether I agree with it or not, I will not attempt to take away your freedom, nor condemn your beliefs - nor should anyone else.

Please let this be the end of this line of posts on this thread, as it is here for a very good cause and I do not want to see it tainted with another ‘blood bath’. If you feel this is not finished, then please start a new thread.

I agree. This is a good cause.

The truth, Cheryl, is that is was a moment of not-properly thought-out gut reaction, and if I had known that you were one-tin-soldier, I would not have commented. Call it favoritism or something.

Usually I care more about truth than about placating people. For a moment, I had a gut reaction which I responded with carelessly. We’re all lucky that I didn’t do that in response to this post of yours. Anyone know how many tickets were sold as of last night? Not to be capitalist about it or anything but I want to know what the odds of winning are :slight_smile: At this point I really don’t NEED the Copeland whistle since I’m not that good yet but it would be nice :wink: Also, though I’ve never met her, I’d like to know how much was raised to help Wendy out.

For the record, $1011.00 was raised!

Note: one extra dollar from someone who added to their check for the return ticket postage (which of course we didn’t use printed tickets since this is a “virtual raffle”). Permission was given to add it to the fund.

I printed a slip for each “ticket” a person bought, and we are ready to pick…

I will post the winners on a new thread.
