Copeland Blackwood flute FS maybe partial trade

Dear Fipplers

I have a (probably) 1980’s Copeland flute, it is marked Copeland but has no serial number. It has sterling rings and the blocker for tuning slide, the slide and liner are brass. It is a Pratten model, and sounds just like his current ones. It used to have tiny cracks in the back of the headjoint, barrel, and very top (approx 1.5 inch) crack in the body. These were repaired and the flute was overhauled and resold by David Migoya, and after that I bought it from the new owner.

Why am I selling this wonderful instrument? Because I have a Seery Delrin that I love and I’m a student and a soldier. Hence I get way more play on the Seery (as I can smash it around in my backpack!) and for some reason I then dont’ transfer well to the Copeland. So I have given up and will play the Seery in concert.

If anyone has a Seery whistle in Delrin or a keyed Seery in Delrin I would be interested in a partial trade.

I paid a little less than athousand on eBay, you pay $850 USD and shipping. I will happily throw in a low whistle padded pouch (in blue from the whistleshop) free as a wee gift.
