Assault With A Scaly Weapon

Woman smacks sister-in-law with catfish

No arrests were made “due to a lack of independent witnesses”

What kind of shoddy police work is that?? Obviously, the key eyewitness is the catfish - who, judging by it’s facial expression, is quite shocked by the whole affair.

Was it out of malice, or was she just doing the fish-slapping dance?

The town zoo in Lufkin, TX is the Ellen Trout Zoo. Coincidence? I think not.

And in march the copycats, starting with Casey Kasem’s wife throwing meat at his daughter:

Assault with a scaly weapon? I think not. That accusation sounds fishy to me. Do catfish have scales? Look into it.

That itty bitty noodler didn’t damage anything! I thought TX was full of gunslingers not fishmongers.

Of course catfish don’t have scales:

Now that’s a catfish! and they look friendly to me.

Maybe not. But a bass guitar certainly does. It’s fully chromatic, even though it’s rather drab.

Here’s one in a G-Ionian scale:

This certainly answers the question if you can tune a bass can you tune a fish.

No “maybe” about it. Catfish do not have scales. Scales, however, do sometimes have catfish. The reason you nail a catfish to a tree is to skin it. The skins on the big ones can make for tough eating. Canned corn makes good bait as well as anything dead for a day or so. A plastic Clorox jug makes the best float to mark your trot line. A trot line is a long, heavy line with hooks on short leaders spaced every few feet along the trot lines. The hooks are baited at sundown and the trot line laid out across the bottom with Clorox jugs at each end of the trot line so you can find it tomorrow. You pull the trot line up in the morning and harvest the catfish. Catfish are bottom feeders and, depending on what’s on the bottom of your local body of water, their flavor can vary quite a bit. Actually, a lot. You are what you eat. Catfish in restaurants are farm-raised on processed feed for a uniform flavor.

Is this the uniform?
