I am in the market for a really good Bb flute, and trying to see what my options are. Would hope to find something with at least and B key(equivilent to Eb on a D flute). Ideally a 6 or 8 key flute is what I am after, but perahps my head is in the clouds, as such flutes rarely show up.
You could be in luck.. I’m not sure if he still has it now though:
Yeah, that is the exact flute I want, only that I have emailed him and haven’t heard from him in about a week, maybe it’s sold. It must be a marvelous sounding instrument, I like the sound of Kevin Crawford’s Grinter, so this thing must be pretty close in tone.
Doc’s got a keyless McGee …

I’ve never played his Bb but from my 6-key Pratten I think Terry’s awfully good with that deep-voiced manly-sound and suspect it may carry over …
6 or 8 keys! You must be an iron man!
Sort of have my heart set on keys, I play a lot of Latin American stuff on the flute too, so they come in handy. Also I like the balance of keyed flutes for some strange reason. Good to know your opinion about McGee flutes, as indeed i’ve been considering the Bb by him if things don’t pan out.
