ABC Transcription Tools - Overview of exported website styles

There are now four different style options for exported websites:

Basic Tune List - Centered list of hyperlinked tune names.

Tune Image Gallery - Centered list of hyperlined tune images. Print the website to create a PDF tunebook of all the tunes.

Tune Image Lightbox (new 3/10/25) - Shows one tune at a time with tunebook navigation controls and tune selector dropdown. Print the website to create a PDF tunebook of all the tunes.

Full-Featured - Includes tune and tablature/instrument selector dropdowns. Uses an embedded version of the ABC Transcription Tools.

Another example of a tune image lightbox website, this one for our local San Diego Comhaltas chapter’s tune learning class:

On iPhone/Android these will only show the tune selector menu, not the First/Previous/Next/Last buttons that show on desktop (and iPad) browsers. Did this to better adapt to very narrow phone screens.

On all systems, try printing the website using the browser’s own native Print-to-PDF command and you’ll get a full PDF tunebook of all the tunes.

If you generate the PDF from a desktop browser, the tunes in that browser-generated PDF will play if clicked.

The Tune Image Lightbox feature is available in version:

2369_031025_1500

or later.

The version number is displayed at the bottom left of the “Settings” dialog.

If your version starts with a number less than 2369, click the version number to do a manual update of the tool.
