Aren’t the tone holes a little big for a flat chanter?
Maybe a bit bigger than other designs but large tone hole “flat” chanters are not a new thing as neither are wide bore C chanters.
One time I was chatting to pipe-maker John Lambe who was thinking of designing a wide bore C chanter. I told him to go to a certain person who had a wide bore C made by Willie Rowsome. John was gutted, he thought he came up with a great new idea but it had been around for 100/120 years already.
Those Ginsberg pipes certainly look like fine instruments. I was just listening to a cassette of London piper, John Murphy from the Willie Week one year and his Ginsberg set are sounding mighty.

Alans “flat” chanters are based upon Matt Keirnan’s but whether Matt copied another maker or came up with the slightly larger tone holes I do not know.
