The first one is The Humors of Kiltyclogher. The 2nd is indeed The Pipe on the Hob.oleorezinator wrote:of the 1st tune.

Re: Tune name....
I s'pose it depends a lot on whether you are from Leitrim or Clare. We've always called it Humours of Kilclogher. Kiltyclogher is in Leitrim. The tune appears to have mostly come to light from the playing of Elizabeth Kelly, of CLARE.

And if you're from across the Pond, it depends on what stuck out of the jumble.an seanduine wrote:I s'pose it depends a lot on whether you are from Leitrim or Clare.

There's a close relation of 'Humours of Kiltyclogher' in the Goodman collection (v.2) under the title 'Humours of Cromane'

Re: Tune name....
Years ago I learned it from the playing of Liam O'Flynn on his flatset.

Agreed,it makes me a little sad though when I picture the clip of Liam out horse riding. I dont normally like the sound of union pipes/ flat pitched pipes, I find them energy draining and boring but Liam gets a very uplifting tone from that Froment set .Tou-Che wrote:Years ago I learned it from the playing of Liam O'Flynn on his flatset.
