Ok, now i have had time to play a little on the Le Meur, actually first impression seems to last - It feels like a cross between the Löfgren alloy D and the Goldie Overton i had, a bit less breathy, and a touch more pure sounding than the Löfgren, a little less back pressure than the Overton, still takes "dedication" to hit high A and above. It's not that it's hard, just not as easy as the Löfgren.
The beak is probably the most comfortable i have tried, it reminds me of MK's design (as i remember it)
It's got a pretty stable bell note, and from low G and up you can vary the volume pretty much without tone breaking or octave jumping.
Fit and finish is like Goldie, i don't think anyone beats Löfgrens "German safe"-fit and finish, but it's good nonetheless.
All in all a whistle i am happy with and will probably play a lot!
Cheers!
PS: I already posted this in another thread but since some members have asked me what i think of the whistle, apparently my post/review kinda got lost in the other thread..

I take it as being very precise engineering and perfect finish.hans wrote:thanks Lars! What is a "German safe"-fit and finish, please?
Edit..How is the volume?

In fairness, it took me two readings to decide whether the intention was a German protecting variation of 'child-safe' or well, something more German made and burglar proof.

Hans: Indeed it is like narrowdog says, impeccable fit and finish, like the safe i have in my office, it's impossible to slam the door shut as the fit is so tight that the air compress inside and dampen the door
narrowdog: Volume is good, pretty loud without being shrill or obnoxious, again i'd say similar to Löfgren alloy D / Goldie.
Good one there Peter Unfortunately it's quite easy to steal..
