A Sailing Stone in Death Valley
A Sailing Stone in Death Valley
Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
It's dizzying, the possibilities. Ashes, Ashes all fall down.

Why am I suddenly thinking of a sport like wind surfing the slippery salt lake.It turns out that high winds after a rain can push even heavy rocks across a temporarily slick lakebed.

I bought a sailing stone once but it sunk.
Re: A Sailing Stone in Death Valley
We were trying to drive through Death Valley in August of 2004 when they got a small drizzle. It made further traveling rather problematic. Mud boarding would certainly have been possible, just have to keep an eye open for the big drops.

Actually, the tracks are caused by a Faerie Folk sport akin to curling. I found this out when I stumbled across them playing the game. I got to keep my soul in trade for my Mark I Feadog.

You have forced two problems on me with this: 1st, I am unfamiliar with the verb "to brother". I confess this bothers me. Second, if I were a self-respecting fairy and you came up to me saying, "Ha, my good fellow, I have a Hypericum. Neener neener.", I would reply, "Aye, now? Being fairies and unschooled, we only answer to something more folksy, I'm afraid," and would turn you into something amusing. The poetic justice of a Wurlitzer theater organ comes to mind.dwest wrote:If you carry a bit of Hypericum with you they can't brother ya.Roderick [Rod] Sprague IV wrote:Actually, the tracks are caused by a Faerie Folk sport akin to curling. This is the west. I would just have to say "I have Klamath weed and I know how to use it." They would know not to mess with me.Nanohedron wrote:You have forced two problems on me with this: 1st, I am unfamiliar with the verb "to brother". I confess this bothers me. They can smell it before they even get into sight, same way with garlic and vampires, I haven't been bothered in years.Roderick [Rod] Sprague IV wrote:
