A/V Controls in MAC's Quicktime ?

Post by Ellen »

Hello hello,

for learning to really HEAR what I want to learn to play on my whistle I like(d) to use Quicktime on MAC.
Via the A/V Control panel in the older Leopard-version one could slow down tunes and videos.

Has anyone found a way to do that in the new SnowLeopard Quicktime yet?
Or something else (simple!) to slow tunes down?

Thank you
and many greetings,

Ellen

This annoyed me greatly when I
noticed it, too. I haven't found a
way to get around it, or even any
information on the Interwebs.

Instead, you could use Transcribe,
the Amazing Slow Downer, or
Audacity. (Amazing Slow Downer
is probably the easiest to use).

Ah, thank you fearfaoin,

it is as I thought then.

Do you know weather the trial version of the Amazing Slow Downer is time-limited?
(I wouldn't want to buy anything for I couldn't make use of an elaborate fancy programme anyway.)

Greetings from
Ellen

VLC media player is a free application for the MAC that allows you to slow down music and video files. Does a pretty good job at it. The application is not only good for slowing down. Since using VLC I never used Quicktime again. VLC opens files that Quicktime can't handle and is very user friendly.

You can download it here:
