Are there any Pink Floyd songs that are playable on a whistle. Now I thought that they would sound best in a low whistle...but I'm not so sure.

Their early Syd Barrett-period stuff is clearly best for whistle. Try 'Careful With That Axe Eugene'.

I'd love to hear Interstellar Overdrive played on solo tinwhistle.

Good song... it's by the Scorpions (unless there are other versions of it out there that I don't know of.)

Agreed--Huey is one : you'll even find a (Yikes!) use for 3rd octave in the final
.
Try the movie
More soundtrack, too. Also acid but mellower.

I seem to recall playing along to parts of 'Pulse' back when I was working at the planetarium and did the Laser Floyd shows there...
But then, I think those guys are great even withOUT any whistles in their stuff!

the thing is, when I play my whistle to modern music, what comes out always sounds a bit folky, I put in taps and cuts automatically, it's actually hard to play without those little gracenotes. Makes dire straits or phil collins sound kinda funny.

A whistle works well on Dark Side of the Moon.
