- Tell us something.: Pipes have become my main instrument, but I still play the flute. I have emerged from the "instrument acquisition" phase, and am now down to one full set of pipes (Gordon Galloway), and one flute (Hudson Siccama).

FS: Baroque flute by Folkers and Powell after Thomas Lot
Baroque flute in grenadilla/blackwood, faux ivory rings, one silver key A=415, with a roll-up case. It's a copy of French flute from about 1720 from the workshop of Thomas Lot, big bored, fat sound, not so sweet or veiled as some baroque flutes. Speaks easily to A in the third octave. Made in about 1992, one tiny chip in one of the rings. I bought this model on the recommendation of Janet See, who was my teacher, and who used it on her recordings, and for her professional work. Folkers and Powell aren't making this model any more. Beautiful flute at less than half the price of a comparable new flute. $900 OBO.
I thought I had no talent, but my talent is to persist anyway.
