Yes! Finally a new release from my mayor inspiration! I have been waiting for this for such a long time now.
I am really looking forward to this one, and I know Mcgoldrick will not disappoint :)

Thanks a bunch for letting us know.

He's launching the cd at the forthcoming Celtic Connections, in Glasgow, sadly it is one of the events i will be unable to attend as they've put him on in a standing only venue and I am unable to stand still for any length of time due to lower back issues, maybe next year.

He seems to have appeared annually at Celtic Connections, albeit without a new cd each year. :)

I bought a copy this afternoon at Celtic Connections, haven't had chance to listen yet as I'm off out to the Niall Vallely concert, Coda, who run the music stall at the festival have it available on their site: http://www.codamusic.co.uk/products.php ... mcgoldrick and at £9.99p it represents excellent value.

Well having had chance to listen to the cd now I can say that I'm both delighted and very impressed by it.

It represents quite a departure form his earlier cd's, a very much more traditional flavour, gone is the fusion type music which was so evident on his previous releases, consisiting mainly, but not exclusively, of his own material, with a mix of jigs reels and melodies/songs, still unique and very much in his own style, I really like the way in which the selections showcase his playing.

Highly recommended and destined to become a favourite.

Just got the cd from codamusic.co.uk (thanks for the link!)
the shipping is been very fast (30 Hours within UK at less than 1£!)

the cd looks good and plays Better!
still need some time to have a deeper listening
and is easy to note that there are only few Trad. tunes
but, "Less Trad More Flute", there are many of Michael's compositions
very good music and, most important, great McGoldrick's Flute playing!
(thanks to Grinter for his flutes!)
