Beware of Dog!

Post by Feadoggie »

Has this ever happened to you?

Maybe I should have posted this in the "biting my whistle" thread.

Thank heaven it wasn't Ray's whistle! :)

I've proven who I am so many times, the magnetic strips worn thin.

Clearly, the dog is an agent of Chiff & Fipple's Mission Impossible team, on a mission from Dale. Either that, or Fido is really, really not a fan of Mr. Charles' soulful stylings. Especially when accompanied by recorder.

On the other hand, maybe wrapping the instrument in a tasty strip of rawhide, as was apparently done, had something to do with it. Honestly, that's not the first enhancement I think of when I purchase overpriced rock and roll memorabilia at auction.

We're about to get a new pup in and this is a good warning to keep my whistles well out of reach. Last time we raised a dog, he ate my copy of "The Wall" by Pink Floyd...

Once I washed a down parka and hung it up on the backyard clothes line to dry.
It was a lovely sunny day.
Later, when I looked out the window, the dog was frolicking about the
backyard with the parka.

Ah, the white white feathers against the blue sky!

A couple of months later, he ate the sleeves off a suede coat.

Tell us something.: I'm just trying to update my profile. I need to change my location since I no longer is living in Sweden. I'm still playing the whistle though for the most time I'm just a lurker on the Chiff and Fipple board.

Let's just hope that Ray realised that it'd been chewed before he picked it up to play. (Yeah, I know that it happened after the whistle had passed out of Ray's ownership, but the mental image won't leave me).

By the way, are there many partially sighted/blind whistlers out there? I know one who wrote a few tunes that I had the pleasure of recording.

I am glad I don't own a wooden whistle or flute, otherwise my three "house" rabbits would have made mince-meat of them. They love anything wooden to gnaw on...
